Testing Menu

CA Medlynks Uses PCR for our STI testing for your greater confidence in treatment decisions.

Compared with many rapid antigen tests, PCR offers higher sensitivity, earlier detection, targeted treatment guidance, and greater peace of mind.

Compare PCR vs. Rapid Antigen Testing → Why choose PCR for STI testing — comparison with rapid antigen tests: PCR detects STI DNA/RNA with 95%+ sensitivity for bacterial STIs and can find multiple infections including recent or asymptomatic ones, versus rapid antigen tests at 50-60% sensitivity for bacterial STIs, usually one infection at a time, same-day results

FAQ

The questions people ask us most

Is this really confidential?
Yes. Results go only to you, by the method you choose — WhatsApp, email, or in person. Nothing is shared with employers, insurers, family or partners without your written consent.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk-ins are seen during opening hours. Messaging or calling first means less waiting and a confirmed slot with the right specialist.
How long will I be at the clinic?
Your appointment averages about 20 minutes, including sample collection. How long you are here in total depends on how busy we are when you arrive — booking ahead keeps the wait short.
Why does PCR testing matter?
PCR looks for the DNA of the organism itself rather than your body's response to it. That means it can find an infection earlier, and detect one that isn't causing any symptoms. It is the standard our panels are built on.
What happens if a result is positive?
A doctor explains the result to you privately and, in most cases, can prescribe treatment the same day. If you booked a consultation and test package, that follow-up is already included. Most of what we find is curable.
Can someone come to me instead?
Yes. A trained nurse can collect samples at your home or office in Nairobi and the surrounding area on weekdays, for an additional visit fee. The tests and the accuracy are identical. Message us to arrange it.
How do I pay?
M-Pesa, cash, Visa, Mastercard or insurance, at the clinic after your test. Nothing is charged upfront.
